The Home of Hip Hop

Groovanometry is an annual dance event in Manchester, focused around hip hop styles (breaking, popping, hip hop). Its unique format of dance cyphers and exhibition (rather than competitive) battles has drawn a consistent audience for the past 7 years. In 2022, we successfully expanded the single day event into a weekend festival, incorporating all four elements of hip hop (Breaking, DJing, MCing, Graffiti) and also started our own hip hop Theatre. This move continues to provide a platform for artists to develop their own practice, but will also share hip hop’s positive message of peace, love, unity and having fun with the wider community.
